Nipple Clamps
Nipple Clamps are a type of sensation toy that is designed to apply pressure to a persons nipples in order to provide stimulation. Depending on the type of nipple clamp and the tightness with which it is applied, this stimulation can be painful and/or pleasurable.
Their use traps blood in the nipples, increasing the sensitivity of the nipple. When they are removed, the return of blood flow to the nipples can cause intense pain.
There is a wide variety of different nipple clamps, including clothes-pin, tweezer and clover styles.
It is easier to apply nipple clamps when the nipples are erect, as such it helps to either pull the nipples to elongate them, or to stimulate the nipples manually or orally. Once the nipples are erect, the clamps can be applied either directly to the nipple (very painful), or at the base of the nipple where it meets the areolae, as that area is less sensitive.
For safety reasons nipple clamps should not be worn for long periods of time, as the interrupted blood flow can cause damage to the tissue and nerves. The tighter the nipple clamps are, the larger the risk of injury and damage.
Nipple clamps are often incorporated into predicament bondage. They can be attached to fixed points such as a hook on the wall of a piece of furniture so that the wearer is unable to move without causing pulling on their nipples. Adding weights to the nipple clamps can cause the same effect, as any motion is amplified.
